Ana is CEO at Sigma Lithium, co-Chairing the Company since inception in 2012. She is one of the pioneer investors and longest serving CEOs in the lithium industry. Sigma is the world’s 5th largest industrial-mineral lithium complexe in the world. The Company produces environmentally and socially sustainable lithium materials for EV batteries, delivering the Quintuple Zero Green Lithium: a net zero carbon neutral lithium. Ana is also a co-founder of A10 Invest, a leading venture capital boutique focused on impact investing. A10 FIA is the largest shareholder of Sigma Lithium. Ana is on the Global Advisory Board of Columbia University Global Centers. She has an MBA degree from Columbia Business School and a Masters in Finance degree from London Business School. She was also a co-founder of Mulheres do Brasil, the leading civil society movement in Brazil, with over 120,000 women. Ana has over 30 years of experience as a venture capital investor and senior banker at global investment banks in New York, London and Sao Paulo. She was Head of Latin American Capital Markets at Goldman Sachs in New York and a Managing Director at the firm. She has also held senior investment banking positions at Merril Lynch (now BofA) in London and New York. She has been involved in more than 150 capital markets and M&A transactions, totaling over US$ 120 billion. Five of the transactions she led won the prestigious IFR "Deal of the Year" award including the Privatization of Vale in 1996.
