In 2021, I experienced a profound loss with the passing of my beloved, Daisy. Little did I realise the impact she had on my life until I found myself grappling with the grief. Daisy’s spirit sparked a dream within me—a vision of a retreat specifically designed for unwanted Shih Tzu dogs due to their age or health in animal rescue centres ( I’m sure this will grow!). What began as a heartfelt mission to provide a haven for these dogs evolved into something more profound. This dream expanded to include the creation of a Woodland Remembrance Centre, where a dog’s ashes could intertwine with the growth of a young tree sapling, creating a poignant and lasting memorial for beloved pets. This vision is a tribute to Daisy and countless other companions who have left an indelible mark on our lives.
