Senior Staff Software Engineer (Ic7 Out Of 9 Ic Levels)Plumb May 2022 - Aug 2024Everywhere, UsI have worked on 3 different products while at Murmur Labs. Murmur: I joined Murmur as the sixth engineer. I built new full-stack features on the Next.js, GraphQL, React, Slate.js stack.Supermanage: We pivoted away from Murmur and started building Supermanage. The other engineer and I set up a new Slack app to help managers prepare for their next 1:1, moving quickly past the status update portion of the 1:1 and straight to the more important part of the meeting. We used a series of calls to an LLM to make sense of the slack messages and generate a high quality snapshot of the user's week. We used Next.js, the vector database Pinecone, and the postgres database Supabse.Plumb: We pivoted from Supermanage to Plumn, the tool we built to build Supermanage. The Plumb stack includes Next.js, Supabase (postgres DB), React, Typescript, Zod, Tailwind, Shadcn. Plumb is a no-code, visual data pipeline builder targeted at data pipelines that leverage LLMs in the pipeline. The pipeline is statically typed and allows the user to specify the format of the data they expect to get back from a call to an LLM. The form to declare the expected type is built with the zod, and react-hook-form libraries. Using these two libraries we created an internal ZodForm library which creates a react form given an arbitrary Zod object. -

I designed and set up our testing strategy with a combination of unit tests and Cypress tests. I helped on-board and mentor six new team members. -
