During her fellowship, Ana assisted me with series of research projects, letter writing, drafting of press releases, event planning, and attending events throughout Washington, D.C. Just some highlights of Ana’s work were, managing and helping to put-together a Gala during the NATO Summit in Chicago with 350+ attendance, served as our organization’s liaion with the International Religious Freedom Roundtable, Southeast Europe Coalition, American Jewish Committee, as well as many of Washington’s diplomatic corps. Ana supervised our internship program, conducting interviews of our own and making selections. She organized our Annual Board Meeting, as well as started the preparations of our 4th Global Conference held summer of 2013 in Macedonia. The greatest assist Ana brought to the table was assisting me in our Macedonia in NATO Campaign and increasing the membership of the Congessional Caucus on Macedonia and Macedonian-Americans. This included researching members of Congress and putting together educational materials for meetings. Ana alone visited over 150 Congressional offices to educate policymakers on U.S.-Macedonia relations. The Caucus membership grew 15 more members as a result.
