Hi! My name is Ana. I am an Information Systems student at Carnegie Mellon University with a minor in Cybersecurity and International Conflict. I am motivated by making an impact in my community. I want to empower, inspire, and support fellow women in tech, particularly Latina/Hispanic women. I am involved in some student organizations that bring awareness to and empower underrepresented groups on campus. For example, the Women in Information Systems organization allows women to gain recognition and support in a male-dominated field. At the same time, the Spanish and Latin Student Association creates a community for fellow Hispanic/Latino students at Carnegie Mellon. Outside of Carnegie Mellon, my career goals are gaining experience and breaking through in Cybersecurity and IT. I am looking for internship and co-op opportunities that will push me to increase my technical and soft skills. I aspire to have an opportunity that will allow me to grow as a person while polishing my professional skillset.
