With over 15 years of experience in public health education and administration, I am passionate about reducing health and mental health disparities for vulnerable communities in California. As the Co-Chairwoman of the Office of Health Equity (OHE) at the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), I provide strategic leadership and guidance to advance health equity policies and programs across the state.I leverage my skills in grant reporting, community relations, and fundraising to build cross-sectoral partnerships with community-based organizations, local governmental agencies, and advisory committees. I also apply my certifications in human resources management and project management to foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, support staff and volunteer performance, and ensure the effective and efficient delivery of OHE's initiatives and activities. I am committed to empowering and engaging diverse stakeholders to shape a health equity lens in the public health sector.
