Fixed-term, part-time (job-share) role to develop and launch a behaviour change pilot project that aims to reduce loneliness in the county.

Freelance PR and communications consultancy, providing media relations, project management, stakeholder engagement, events management, copy writing, message development, resource production and research. Clients included Magnite PR and the National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS).

• National media relations on a wide range of health-related topics. Responsibilities included:
• Placing and writing feature articles and opinion pieces for national publications including The Guardian and BBC website
• Identifying opportunities for national and trade media coverage, such as responses to parliamentary announcements or the publication of internal or external reports
• Preparing press releases and reactive statements on a broad range of health topics
• Advising and briefing senior members of staff on sensitive media issues
• Managing media relations at national press conferences such as at the RCN Congress and the launch of the RCN Frontline First campaign

• Account and project management for various health and not for profit campaigns. Responsibilities included:
• Managed national media relations surrounding high profile announcements from the Alzheimer’s Research Trust (ART) and National Childbirth Trust (NCT)
• Project management of tailored campaigns to raise awareness about hepatitis C among niche audiences, including prisoners and the South Asian community
• Managed healthcare professional and stakeholder communications surrounding the launch of the HMRC Health in Pregnancy Grant
• Devised and carried out a public affairs project for a charity, which involved enlisting the support of MPs and publicising their support through the media
• Liaised with research scientists working for the ART and publicised their work
