I worked as a teaching assistant across a range of architecture modules at FUM since undertaking my master’s thesis in 2016. This has been important as it has given me valuable insight into what to expect from a future academic career.

My work at the HBL focused on exploring the impacts of the built environment on the health and wellbeing of occupants. Working at HBL helped me develop both quantitative and qualitative research skills. As such I have experience in measuring IEQ parameters from thermal through visual to acoustic comfort using a variety of equipment. I also have considerable experience in designing and administering qualitative questionnaires and their subsequent analysis.

I have nearly four years of experience within a prominent architectural firm in Mashhad, Iran. During this time, I was involved in the architectural design of four main projects and several mid-rise residential projects. In the design of Azadi Bus Station and Parking, we considered cultural, social, and environmental requirements, aiming to design an ecologically sustainable building. Our novel and radical design solution was in accordance with climatic suitability and occupant comfort (both physical and psychological health). Another example is the design of 92-Unit Aramesh Residential Apartment, where we aimed for social and environmental sustainability in relation to design for diversity and family-friendly apartment design.
