- It required a great deal of multitasking, multifunctioning and multilanguage on daily basis. - Successfully met several and constant deadlines in order to effectively deliver on legal analysis, advice, interpretation, including on-going court cases, on cross-legislation amongst the European Member States and EU Law within the most various branches of the public health sector. Tasks:Legal analysis, advice, and assistance. I participated in meetings at different levels and collaborated in organizational and documentation tasks to the unit namely on environmental matters, public health, food safety, and associated activities of the Commission.In the matter of legal analysis and assessment, I scrutinized several complaints cases operationalized through the Commission’s Communication – EU Law: Better results through better application, which entails problem-solving and accelerated processing of complaints and infringements. In particular, my work contributed to handle complaints against the Member States for alleged violations of EU law and the assessment of the compatibility of national legislation with EU law.My work also incorporated the drafting of legal notes, letter of formal notice, reasoned opinions, and other legal documents, as well as the legal assessment and analysis of the legislation notified by the Member States to the Commission. Lastly, I also assisted in answering requests for legal advice and interpretation of Union legislation, which contributes to check the legal correctness of legislation, guidance parameters, and other relevant documents.

- All projects which I was able to embrace required a great deal of adaptability to adjust to the many and varied personalities, as well as the tenacity to pursue the goals I was presented with to be able to reach different kinds of stakeholders and government entities. - It also prompted my creativity to achieve and maintain the initiative to new actions/ideas/projects which were essential to successfully pursue the objectives set by the organization. Tasks:Attending national committee meetings;Lobbying for integration migration policies for the Portuguese immigrant community;Preparation of national and local elections;Establish contact between national and international organisations and mediate the relationship between them and the civil society;Maintaining close contact between the emigrant communities and the receiving country through integration activities;Organized meetings and events with the presence of Mayors, Ambassadors, Government, and State representatives.

- I conducted research on multiple subjects, which allowed me to develop my capacity to listen and understand the power of the right questions, while establishing key relationships and contacts with a universe of different people, to better gather, corroborate and interpret all data and information necessary to write articles on the Portuguese diaspora. Tasks:Conducting research to uncover interesting and significant news;Gathering, corroborating, and interpreting data;Interviewing key persons (witnesses, sources, etc.) to obtain information;Use findings to construct a well-written article.

- This short but intense experience gave me the opportunity to develop the capacity to engage in a great project with the need to have an eye for detail whilst focusing on analysis, interpretation, and translation of European Parliament’s speeches and meetings on Environmental matters.
