PhD thesis entitled "Colective action and economic incentives for promoting fuel management at the landscape scale" under the Climate Change and Sustainable Development Policies Doctoral Program. My work is focused on the relationship between collective action and forest fire mitigation through a socio-economical perspective. The work involved performing multivariate statistical analysis in order to produce scientific evidence for policy advisory. Conducted surveys to hundreds of experts and forest owners from wildfire-prone and small-ownership size region (North of Portugal). Analysis of the costs to promote the uptake of fuel management commitments for fire hazard reduction, under FIZ coordination.

- Business development and technical coordination of projects involving carbon management and integration of the risks and opportunities of climate change in organizational management either voluntarily or in response to legal requirements. This process involves the GHG emissions monitoring, the diagnosis of vulnerability to climate risks, analysis of their mitigation and adaptation measures, capacity building in governance and training process as well as support for institutional reporting and analysis of the carbon market. It has been also responsible for project management, quality and technical review and managing the team.- Promoting the integration of mitigation and adaptation strategies to climate change in organizations, especially in cities, in the airport sector, agro-forestry and tourism,as an invited lecturerin public seminars,- Support the National System of Emissions Inventory by Sources and Removals by Sinks of Air Pollutants (SNIERPA) and institutional reporting as the Fifth National Communication of Portugal and under Article 3.2 for submission to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change ( UNFCCC)- Coordinating the implementation of the rules and obligations of the European Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS) in the agri-food sectors, lime, glass, ceramic, energy and agroforestry.- Corporate strategies involving GHG emission inventories in the school sector, airport, food processing, tourism, banking, industry, energy, among others according to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol of the WRI / WBCSD, IPCC methodologies, NIR and in a perspective of Analysis of product life cycle.Development Training Shares / Training - Capacity training in MRV (Monitoring, Reporting and Verification) (ex:Portuguese and Brazilian governments)
