Gas Control Supervisor
CurrentResponsible for the operation of the northern indiana Gas Transmission system. This position is also responsible for projecting daily gas demand and ensuring supply is adequate to serve residential, commercial, and industrial customers. • Balance overall daily gas demand with supply. • Develop daily supply strategy including line pack, underground storage, LNG, supplier targets, system pressure requirements, etc. • Ensure pipeline targets are within station operational limitations. • Confirm daily large industrial gas volumes, BTUs, and supplier closing information for use in forecasting and reconciliation. • Maintain and generate daily and monthly reports. • Respond effectively to irregularities, abnormal, and emergency conditions. • Implement Gas System Emergency Operating Plans when required. • Supports procedures for new or temporary operations. • Monitors gas system and provides guidance on system operation. • Achieved and maintains DOT Operator Qualification for Gas Controller duties. • Provides direction for safely operating the Gas Transmission System.• Supervise Gas Controllers on shift, including 3 direct reports. • Correctly apply provisions of the collective bargaining contract. • Performs Gas Controller duties as needed to cover vacancies or support operations.• Continuously evaluates, improves existing, eliminates unneeded, and creates new processes as appropriate
