I’ve taken an unconventional path to technology, with experiences that span healthcare, sales, and even the performing arts. Before earning my degree in Cardiopneumologia (Cardiac, Respiratory and Sleep Physiology) in 2014, I worked in a café and as a tutor, balancing multiple jobs to support my education. After graduation, I worked across Portugal, gaining diverse clinical experience that strengthened my attention to detail, resilience, empathy, and ability to work under pressure.My journey has taken me through many fields and places, including two years in commercial sales and a move to New York City, where I've helped at the world's largest ultramarathon and on a friend's restaurant.I’ve also had the privilege of performing in numerous musical groups, giving concerts in extraordinary venues from New York and Hollywood to San Diego, San Francisco, and Dublin. I performed at the Colosseum in Rome and toured multiple cities in Italy between 2017 and 2021. This creative background gave me an even deeper appreciation for teamwork, discipline, and connecting with an audience.During the COVID-19 pandemic, I balanced work as a rideshare driver and as a respiratory clinic technician, adapting to new challenges and taking on vital roles. In 2021, I shifted to tech, completing a 300-hour HTML/CSS course and a programming course in 2023. I also earned a spot in the VTEX Hiring Coders #3 FullStack Challenge, competing among 15,000 candidates and placing 126th in the final stages.Since 2023, I’ve been developing my skills at Engibots, where I bring my analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities to each project. My background in healthcare and the arts gives me a unique perspective, blending empathy, creativity, and a people-centered approach with technical expertise.
