- Clinical project management: Coordination and management of a clinical study on heart failure patients - including bilingual communication (German, English) between academic and industry partners.- Clinical study design, documentation and submission to local authorities (Eg: Ethics Committee) as per ICH-GCP guidelines.- Preclinical trial management: Preclinical testing of implantable cardiac devices - study design, ethics study application, grant application.- Medical writing - Management and co-ordination of publications on VAD clinical research, in peer-reviewed journals.- Guest editor for Journal of Thoracic Disease - Organized and managed the publication of 23 articles for Volume 10, Supplement 15 (June 2018): Focused issue on "Novel Surgical Techniques for Ventricular Assist Device Implantation."- Research focus: Investigating myocardial recovery, VAD-related complications post-LVAD implantation.- Working as part of interdisciplinary team comprised of surgeons, engineers and biologists.- Research grant preparation and submission.
