I had the privilege of first coming into contact with music in my childhood, when I sang in choirs conducted by Modesta Bor, Alberto Grau , and later graduated as piano performer under the tutelage of Marisa Romera. I am especially interested in contemporary choral repertoire. Some of my works have been published by Hinshaw Music and A Coeur Joie. I am adjudicator in choral and composition contests and have participated in artistic/academic committees at international choral events. For more than 15 years I have taught workshops on the subject of choral music around the world, working with directors and choirs of all levels. My research work as part of the Master’s course at the Universidad Simón Bolívar helped consolidate my experience in training directors through a particular approach that considers the capabilities of the choral director as a performer, constructor and trainer. Through the Training Program at the Aequalis Foundation (Starting in 2012 in Venezuela and 2015 in Mexico, in alliance with the En-Claves Academy), I have offered ad hoc courses that adapt to the specific needs and preferences of the students. I place great emphasis in the development of key skills for directors, choir singers and musicians in general. At this time, I am developing this line of work in training and coaching for choir directors.
