Most recently, I was based in Gaza, Palestine with international aid agency Mercy Corps where I launched Palestine’s first immersive coding bootcamp & talent placement agency, brokering partnerships with tech companies around the world to integrate Palestinian talent into their workforces.Before that, I was based in Washington, DC where I worked at Vital Voices Global Partnership and launched an accelerator program for women-owned small businesses in the Middle East. I also worked at the Aga Khan Foundation, leading economic development programs in Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan. I am passionate about designing impactful programs that create pathways to prosperity for underserved communities around the world. I am also a writer. My writing has appeared in various outlets and literary magazines including: Wamda, Wasafiri International Literary Magazine, the TAPE Collective, Alocasia Magazine, Lunch Ticket and the Porter House Review. I am currently working on my first book, a memoir about my time in Gaza.
