As a behavioral economist with the Mind, Behavior & Development Unit (eMBeD) at the World Bank, my work integrates behavioral innovations, development economics, and impact evaluations to tackle public policy challenges, working closely with our government clients worldwide. I am eMBeD's focal point for our work in Latin America, yet my work extends to projects that improve domestic resource mobilization (Pakistan), promote social cohesion (Ecuador), increase labor market participation of vulnerable populations (Brazil), and improve health outcomes (Yemen, Saudi Arabia).

At Innovations for Poverty Action, I oversaw and developed the migration portfolio in Colombia.1. Established, managed and grew the Migration Portfolio in Colombia, generating relationships and collaborations with donors, partners and allies (public and private) to promote the use of rigorous evidence and learning in decision-making in Colombia.2. Led the development and execution of a Migration policy strategy focused on sharing evidence generated by IPA Colombia to partners and allies.3. Coordinated with IPA's research team and external researchers to ensure the successful implementation of research activities and thus the public policy objectives defined and funded by the donor.4.. Supported and led the development of innovation / experimentation / public policy laboratories and Right Fit M&E.5. Gave technical guidance in the use of behavioral sciences in the portfolio of projects in IPA Colombia.

1. Behavioral Interventions and Impact Evaluations:- Generated, designed, implemented, and evaluated ten interventions in a range of sectors: Reduced the gender gap in scholarship allocation in Peru; promoted hygiene practices to reduce COVID-19 spread across CO, PE & ME; evaluated the city of Buenos Aires incentive and collective action programs.- Provided in-depth technical support to partners in local and national governments, the private sector, and other multilaterals to promote evidence-based and behaviorally-informed interventions:Lead 12+ diagnostic and co-design sessions with diverse stakeholders in AR, CH, CO, JAM, MX, PE, DR., and UY to deconstruct policy challenges and relate causes to evidence-based solutions.2. Knowledge Dissemination & Capacity Building:- Developed and implemented new initiatives to share knowledge and disseminate findings and evidence:Created and curated the largest online behavioral repository of quantitative field experiments from LAC in Spanish (also available in Eng). https://behavioral.iadb.org/en/our-projectsLed the content creation, development, and dissemination of the IDB Behavioral Economics Online Course for Better Public Policy Design, the first course in Spanish and Portuguese for free (also launched in English). Over 5.000 policymakers have approved it since its launch in 2020.Organized and instructed eight in-person and seven online behavioral trainings throughout LAC.- Authored academic and policy papers, blogs, organized talks, and presented at events to disseminate work.3. Project Management, Execution, Partnerships & Fundraising:- Established and developed partnerships with local and national governments, private sector, and IDB divisions to design and evaluate evidence-based policies. - Led project development.- Led and participated in preparation and execution of grants and loans.- Monitored and supervised budget, products, deadlines and reporting.
