UBC ywfs aims to inspire and empower young women to pursue careers in STEM by providing mentorship, sharing experiences, and fostering community connections. Through initiatives such as high school and elementary school presentations alongside our annual gender equity conference, we support gender equity in STEM and help build a stronger, more connected community of future leaders.

As Vice President of my high school's Interact club, I facilitated a group of over 200 students through various volunteer initiatives. Together, we created meaningful change in our community and globally through student-led projects such as McMath for Ukraine, Ocean Love (Ocean cleanup volunteer trips), initiatives to develop single homes for Vancouver's Downtown Eastside and partnerships with Covenant House and the Union Gospel Mission. My position granted me the opportunity to mentor students from grades 8-12 and work closely with local organizations to make a lasting impact. These experiences cultivated my leadership abilities, strengthened my organizational skills, and sparked my passion for service and global outreach.
