 Handling calls from customers - resolving queries relating to payments made to vendors and third parties.  Stop and Cancellation of Checks– Keeping a control on the check payments made. As a request is received to stop or cancel a check for various reasons. For eg, Check issued with incorrect payee name or amount or account no. A stop is applied by intimating the Barclays and cancelling the same on SAP. After receiving the confirmation from bank the claim handler is informed about the same so that he could issue a new payment to the customer. Check and EFT Trace – Payments issued with wrong details get credited to the customer’s account. In such cases when the real beneficiary asks for the payment we then chase the bank for the details of the payment with the help of the account no. ,sort code and the branch in which the payment has been credited. Once the bank comes back with the details and if in our records the payment has gone to the wrong account number then the bank is instructed to recover the money from the customer. Transfers –The installment teams request for the transfers from AXA’s account to another. A journal is required to be posted in order to move the payment from one account to another.
