Drilling EngineerDrilling feasibility of new oil well: Well construction design; Formulation of well plans, Program schedule and rig deployment; Drilling monitoring and liquidation of complications

Being a Team leader, responsible for the safe and successful execution of the well construction program by steering a group of 12-15 members from cross functional departments. Assist the Operations Manager in planning as well as executing the Rig Transportation and maintaining optimum inventory levels.- Completed transportation of the Rig and commenced Rig Building in Jan 2021 within less than 7 days which was almost a 50% reduction in Rig move time. - Took Initiative and reduced the running hours of the major Power packs by utilizing the low load generators which resulted in saving over 48000 Liters (In 2020 alone) of High Speed Diesel.- Trained 2 new comers and another junior to handle the operations as well as to take the leading roles when the necessity comes.

To Assist the Shift In-Charge in executing the well construction program within the stipulated timeline.- Successfully managed the Painting & Refurbishment Project of our Drilling rig within 4 months itself instead of 6 months thereby saving 2 months of Idle Man power cost and Rig's fuel charges to our organization which amounts to about Rupees 0.5 Crores.- Attention to detail and constant vigil during Drilling complicated oil fields (December 2018) saved sophisticated downhole directional drilling equipment worth over Rupees 10 Lakhs from being lost for ever and a minimum of Rupees 1.4 Crore value of effort.- Carried out the longest Casing Milling job in India (On-Shore) of 172 Meters, which resulted in using the same oil well and site for a new exploration thereby saving almost Rupees 1 Crore in Civil works and First phase drilling.

- Trained over 1900 engineering students (from 12 colleges) from diverse backgrounds in the State of Kerala and 1600 out of 1900 students cleared their Preliminary written/screening tests during their Campus placement drives.- Contributed towards the Brand building through my lectures and focused on Customer Retention resulting in repeat orders of the Placement training program from all the 12 Institutes.

As a Project Coordinator, my role was to assist the Project Manager in Project monitoring and Controls. I was also assigned the task of Subcontractor Management & Client Invoicing.- Coordinated with 4 Senior Construction managers, 15 Project Engineers, over 9 Subcontractors (workforce of over 2200 technicians) and over 6 Planning Engineers from the Client side for smooth execution of the Project based on the Customer's schedule.- Advised and convinced the Project Manager to enforce stringent rules for procurement of materials outside the scope of the Project. This improved our working capital by about 7-8% and even leveraged my organisation in indirectly forcing the Customer to stick to the Project scope. - Analyzed and closed inactive/lump-sum work orders resulting in transferring the cost allocations effectively. Revision of lump-sum contracts to unit rate contracts resulted in a competitive environment which inturn witnessed an increase of 12% annual revenue than the budgeted amount.

As a Project Engineer/Section In-Charge, my role was to carry out the Installation of Hull Structures & Ship's Interior Structures with nil nonconformities.- Tried, exercised and Implemented the principles of Theory of Constraints to optimize the available resources and set a record time in Installation of Ballast Tanks considering the Highly stringent quality/Inspection requirements. From over 90 days in previous project, the cycle time was reduced to under 30 days. This saved over 700 Man-days which amounts to almost Rs 2.5 Lakhs in just one Structure. This radical change set the benchmark and an overall achieved savings was around Rs 1 Crore. I was honored with "Award of Excellence" by our Client.

- Assisted and Trained under different Construction Managers as a Project Engineer in a Defense Project (Ship Building/Structural Construction).- Led a team of 8-12 Highly skilled and experienced technicians (Fabricators/Welders/Millwrights) in completing the tasks assigned as per the project schedule which was mostly Fabrication and Installation of Steel structures (Tanks/Foundations).- Independently handled the Installation of over 40 foundations (Well documented 5 stage 3rd party Inspection protocols) within a span of 6 months with a team of around 10 technicians, with 0% rework and 0% Idle manpower charges.
