Planned and led regular virtual meetings with UC Davis students to discuss and spread awareness of food equity and nutrition in the Davis and Sacramento area.

Worked with a small team on several community service projects in the Southwest US. Awarded Corps Member of the Round for a six week project doing construction and finishing work in five affordable homes in Northern Colorado. Participated in restoration of almost 500 acres of endangered habitat in Southern Arizona. Led weekly meetings, engaged with volunteers and community members, organized team food budget, and documented team progress and hours. Received Unit Corps Member “Get Things Done” Award for demonstrating a strong work ethic and taking initiative above beyond the call of duty to bring positive change to sponsoring organizations and service communities. Received Congressional and Presidential Awards for completion of service and individual goals through AmeriCorps NCCC term.

Performed weekly maintenance and animal husbandry at a small family farm. Duties included caring for livestock, milking, cleaning stalls and equipment, and organizing incoming feed and materials. Acted upon direction and utilized quick problem solving in unpredicted circumstances.
