Incoming Inspection & Supplier Quality Engineer
CurrentROLES - SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER• Lead the supplier approval process by assessing manufacturing/technology capabilities of supplier• Responsible for new material sample approval.• Analyse the TDS , MSDS , REACH , COA and ROHS of the new part• Participate in CFT in the development of new products• Work with Purchasing to ensure supplier performance is regularly reported and timely corrective actions are implemented• Direct vendor interactions to coordinate and calibrate inspection techniques which will include gages and tools.• Conduct supplier audits based on periodic supplier rating to drive process standardization and continuous improvement• Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions of supplier quality issues • Champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers to avoid non‐conformances ROLES – INCOMING INSPECTION QUALITY ENGINEER• Support incoming inspection by developing new/improved inspection methods and provide appropriate training to staff.• Perform inspection of incoming products and materials such as- measure and record the dimension of components/parts using measuring instruments - Perform non-destructive test or hardness test (if necessary) and analyse findings and raise report- Take photographs of the components/parts for recording purposes.• Defining sampling size for incoming components• Identify ways to increase inspection productivity by designing and fabricating inspection fixtures, techniques and methods.• Work with engineers to identify and have inspected Critical Function dimensions for each production part.• Review proper use of engineering, process and material specifications, and identification of key characteristics for inspection plans and methods• Define inspection run rules to ensure end-to-end (incoming, in-process and final) product quality• Generate reports on issues identified during quality inspection activities and provides recommendations to effect improvements.
