Description: COP-GEMINI was a Distribution Management system for IKEA North America. Gemini application supported handling of all store orders, customer orders, goods flow from the terminals to the stores and the customers, and provided order information to the Warehouse Management System. This system supported 350 Distribution centers and stores across North America.Responsibilities:• Full SDLC experience including Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, and implementation of the system.• Interacted with architects to understand business needs, and closely interacted with cross-functional team members to implement technical solutions to business and system issues.• Used ANT as a deployment tool to deploy the code to the server.• Used JMS to send and receive messages from the external system to achieve asynchronous communication.• Implemented database schema authorization in PL/SQL queries using Oracle PL/SQL.• Used JDBC to invoke Stored Procedures and database connectivity to Oracle by implementing PL/SQL queries using Oracle SQL Developer.• Performed unit testing, and provided bug fixes during various stages of testing.• Assisted SIT/UAT testers in optimizing testing scripts and to ensure data accuracy and integrity and provided production support.

Description: CWIS was a multi-channel order processing system for IKEA’s Western European business. It made use of monolithic architecture. CWIS application had 6 functional areas: in-delivery, out-delivery, order fulfillment, stock handling, archiving, and report. At the time of its second release, it had aggregated 40 warehouses and distribution centers across Western Europe.Responsibilities:• Involved in full SDLC lifecycle.• Involved in the development of business applications using JAVA/J2EE.• Proficient in Java/J2EE technologies such as Hibernate, Spring, Java Servlets, AJAX, JNDI, JMS, and web service using Eclipse.• Coordinated with the front-end design team to provide them with the necessary stored procedures and packages and the necessary insight into the data.• Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, JSP, and CSS.• Deployed code in ApacheTomcat and Weblogic server.
