With over 300 employees working for my comapny, in addition to overseeing all employees, I was in charge of developing financial estimates and setting milestones and timelines; estimate costs to bring our product to market, develop financial plans to determine break-even points and ensure long-term solvency, and set budgets. The Gopalakrishnan Deshpande Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (GDC) was established at IIT Madras, with a charter of working with STEM colleges all over India, to help faculty and researchers in commercialising their technologies and transforming them into robust start-ups that can impact society at scale. As a mentor for the I-NCUBATE program, I was roped in to share my knowledge and guide students on the principles of Lean Start-up approach.
