It’s been my passion as well as my line of business.My experience includes highly responsible leadership roles over the last 6 years, where I am handling and working with teams comprising employees from their 20s to 60s, consultants, multiple vendors, and part-timers. Prior to my stint as a freelance Communication Strategist, I was the Associate Vice President (Communication) of StartupTN, the Government of Tamil Nadu’s nodal agency for Startup and Innovation. I was heading the behind-the-scenes team responsible for all essential internal and external communications of StartupTN.I ensured that StartupTN’s efforts are projected to the Startup ecosystem stakeholders within the State and the global audience, thereby strengthening the Startup ecosystem of Tamil Nadu. I had to take a break from my full-time job in Chennai 500 Kms away from my family due to my son’s health, which required my presence in Coimbatore. Since then, I have been working from home with a leading Chennai-based Public Relations firm that is handling reputed industrial, banking, and new-age clients with a global presence.I excelled as an impactful journalist for 16 years with leading newspapers including The Times of India, The Hindu, and The New Indian Express, in their print and digital formats. I earned more than 3,000 bylines as I established myself as a reputed journalist. Convincing diverse audiences to gather information and conveying the desired details to a wide range of stakeholders under tight deadlines are my key skills.I am also passionate about photography and my pictures have been published on the National, State, and Regional pages of the media houses I represented.
