Helped the University navigate - curriculum for a newly proposed law school; - regulatory requirements to set up a law school in India;- hiring processes and standards of admission

Under my leadership, we created- Daksha Fellowship, India's first residential fellowship for law graduates with a focus on technology law and policy;- a first-of-its-kind one-year LL.M program with a focus on regulatory studies;- a Water Law Initiative that advances research on ground water conservation.As part of the founding team, I was responsible for- crafting the University's brand positioning and presence;- hiring faculty and non-faculty colleagues;- providing direction to marketing and admissions strategies.

- Building a new program on public law and new technologies, with special focus on constitutional and legal safeguards in an age of innovation, regulatory models to balance innovation and individual / social interests, and other aspects of relationship between the State and innovators- Tracking emerging technologies and conducting research on policy positions for India in the light of such technologies

Part of a cohort of inaugural fellows working on various aspects of technology policy, I used my time to research the privacy implications of civilian drone solutions. While in DC, I engaged with a wide range of stakeholders as part of my individual contribution to a joint report published in July 2019.

- Worked on a host of areas to deal with emerging technologies and regulation, including drones, biotech, and the digital economy- Built a serious research and policy focus on data protection and governance of big data solutions- Continued to work on intellectual property and innovation- Built up the technology and policy vertical at CI, and organised two editions of the Global Technology Summit in Bengaluru

Completed the Masters Program in mid-2014 and commenced the Doctoral Program same year. Worked on digital copyright for my thesis. During this three year period, I continued my engagement with policy advisory, particularly for clients from the entertainment industry, and worked part time with the Center for Technology, Innovation, and Competition at Penn Law.

This seminal work explored intellectual property rights from the standpoint of infringement and remedies. It broadly covered the scope of the right in question, the acts amounting to infringement of such right, the defenses available, and the remedies for protection of such rights. It was also the first to address serious interpretive issues arising from the Copyright (Amendment) Act 2012.
