Given the startup nature of the company, my role extended beyond traditional engineering tasks. I was actively involved in the manufacturing process, ensuring smooth integration of UAV components, and played a crucial role in piloting the UAVs.My core task empowered me to use multiple tools including conceptual UAV design and analysis, computational fluid dynamics and CAD softwares. Summer InternshipAmity University May 2019 - Jun 2019Noida, Uttar Pradesh, IndiaSuccessful completion of the project titled Design and Fabrication of Day and Night Surveillance UAV where in a collaboration of 4 members, we performed the design, development, and demonstration of a self stabilizing fixed‑wing UAV with real‑time surveillance capability.Designed and fabricated a fixed‑wing UAV having an on‑board flight stabilizer, data logger, camera and and a video transmission systems. Quantitatively showcased the advantages of using a flight stabilizer in small UAVs.Based on this project, a research paper titled Performance Analysis of Self Stabilizing Fixed Wing UAV for Real Time Surveillance was publishedby the Aeronautical Society of India in the May 2020 issue of the Journal of Aerospace Sciences and Technologies. -
Summer Internship11 Base Repair Depot, Indian Air Force May 2018 - Jun 2018Nashik, Maharashtra, IndiaGot to learn about the various activities carried out in the facility including aircraft maintenance, repair and overhauling of aircraft systems and its components and how non destructive testing(NDT) methods and functional testing are employed for the same. Familiarised with the various systems on an aircraft including aeroengines, flight control systems, communication system and so forth. Completeda project on the working of chemical oxygen generators to be used as a part of the life support system on the aircraft.Got to visit the manufacturing facility of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd.(HAL) as part of this industrial internship and witnessed firsthand the manufacturing and integration of various aircraft systems.
