Fellowship In Community Ecological Restoration - Water Conservation, Foresting, Community-BuildingPlant 4 India Feb 2023 - Jun 2023East Jaintia Hills, Meghalaya, IndiaA fellowship in ecological restoration. We collaborated with rural/tribal communities and partook in water rejuvenation, reforestation, climate resilience, food security, rural development, training activities and community-building. All while living a sustainable and vegan lifestyle.After one month of training and community immersion in Sadhana Forest, Auroville, I was posted in East Jaintia Hills, Meghalaya, where our team worked on setting up a Sadhana Forest Centre! We lived in a refurbished solar-powered bus, in ecologically sensitive, compassionate ways.I wanted to engage in on-ground, long-term work for ecology and community - so this was a chance to push my own boundaries and grow as a person. 💚 -
