I created the MyPaths an Android application. The MyPaths app. is designed to cater to the unique needs of seniors with age-related memory impairment, and their caregivers. It was inspired by my team's success in the MIT CRE[AT]E Challenge, where we built and presented a proof of concept (POC) application, and won the "Technical Innovation Award" for our POC, “SafePath”. Both during, and after the challenge, I worked closely with our 91-year old co-designer to make advancements to the application.

I was the second grade “adventure guide” (camp counselor) at AIW, a creative writing camp designed to turn traditional writing instruction into an engaging and fun experience through music, storytelling, and eBook publishing. I supported 2nd-grade students in developing their writing skills through creative and engaging activities, including writing chant songs and publishing their own eBooks. I built trust with students and was their first point of contact as they transitioned between different activities and teachers throughout the day.

During my year-long training in the Youth Climate Ambassador program, I worked in a team of 3 to analyze and influence climate impact conversations within the local community by leading a comprehensive study. The study aimed to isolating the effects of greenwashing on youth purchasing habits within the San Francisco Bay Area. During the study, we gathered and analyzed data with outreach to 2K+ students and 205 respondents. From there, we designed and created a Public Service Announcement (PSA) to raise awareness about sustainable shopping practices and we advocated for informed consumer choices.

As an intern through the Science Internship Program, I worked with 2 other interns, PHD student Matt Evans, and faculty advisor, Prof. Nicolas Davidenko on active scientific research in Involuntary Musical Imagery (INMI), more commonly referred as, earworms. I analyzed INMI research literature on multiple studies covering auditory working memory, and mind wandering. I returned as an Alumni buddy to support the 2023 UCSC SIP.

As a participant in the MIT Beaver Works Summer Institute Disaster Response program, I worked with my cohort to build a disaster response hurricane simulation demonstrating the convergence of Geo. Information Systems (GIS), machine learning, and image processing adopting real world datasets featuring disaster imagery from satellite and aerial platforms. As the operations leader and public communication hurricane simulation liaison, I crafted the communication plan for optimal disaster response.

As a student in the UCSC COSMOS Microbiology and Toxicology cluster, I exploring advanced STEM topics with specific interests in Microbiology & Toxicology, through hands-on and lab-intensive engagements; examples include experimentation with petri dishes and bacteria cultivation, and assessments of air quality using a particle sensor with the individual components.
