This is being accomplished through a wide range of research, policy, and program activities as well as working with local nonprofits, businesses, governments, hospitals and other health-related organizations, faith-based groups, and other community organizations.PPC offers programs, resources, tools, and knowledge to empower community leaders, activists, and advocates, in order to help educate people about evidence-based nutrition that shows optimal health may be achieved through a whole food, plant-based (WFPB) diet. Locally, Community Outreach Specialist has accomplished the following:– Connected more than 2,500 community members with critical services and provided referrals– Developed and led community-wide campaigns to inform at-risk community members of health and nutrition education services and plant-based eating support programs– Coordinated health outreach awareness initiatives, participating in and speaking at more than 80 community events– Planned and implemented annual Earth Month event to provide on-site health education services and counseling– Initiated relationships with community service providers, educators, church leaders, and state and federal organizations– Manage a volunteer team of more than 20 community members to provide awareness– Prepare and maintain necessary documentation of referrals, provisions and outcomes

Delights patrons and attracts new customers by cooking, sampling and elegantly displaying the company signature brand of whole-food/organic products. Assists customers with medically prescribed dietary improvements, motivating them to make sustainable changes by introducing them to affordable, easy-to-prepare and delicious whole food options.Conducted more than 800 presentations about healthy eating to patrons, clubs, community organizations and Miami-Dade/Broward public libraries.Earned numerous production bonuses for outstanding bilingual customer service.

Designed and implemented amusing nutrition programs for bilingual preschool children. Conducted entertaining hands-on salad-making activities for children, employing music and games. Creatively engaged bilingual children about healthy eating to develop good habits for a lifetime.

Collaborated with physicians to execute medically prescribed diet improvements for clients with type 2 diabetes and coronary heart disease. Shopped and cooked for senior clients, guiding them from 'disease management' to disease prevention and reversal.Motivated 4 out of 5 clients to make sustainable dietary changes by introducing whole food options in affordable and delicious ways.
