The group was testing an arc-jet thruster and developing a pulsed plasma thruster for future testing. As a structural participant, I assisted in analyzing the performance changes resulting from the characteristics of the geometrical forms of Pulsed Plasma Thrusters (PPTs)

This is a scientific initiation project based on the theme of electric propulsion and focused on carrying out a literature review on the performance of Pulsed Plasma Thrusters (PPTs) for SmallSats. Research into PPTs has been carried out at the Space Systems Laboratory (LaSE) at the University of Brasilia, Gama School (UnB/FGA) for a number of years. In addition to theoretical studies and numerical simulations, it aims to carry out experiments, analyze missions, verify applications and build a PPT prototype so that there is an applied and verifiable experimental study at UnB.
