- Provide Permitting and Regulatory support to Operations, Projects, and other Region teams on their business needs including obtaining permits, licenses and certification of projects; - Be the source of expert advice on permitting and regulatory affairs to business clients;- Support developing, promoting and applying a set of processes and procedures on all aspects of permitting and regulatory affairs;- Support managing business correspondence with the Government of Azerbaijan.

- Tax support to Procurement Supply Chain Management (PSCM), Accounts Payable (AP) and HR departments;- Provision of tax assurance to commercial models of the contracts and relevant projects;- Provision of tax advice on local and cross-border commercial agreements for relevant projects;- Leading/contributing to tax discussions and negotiations within internal project groups and with external stakeholders.

- Work with the Sub-Contractor Companies on daily basis and monitor compliance under PSAs/HGAs and timely flag up the problems in order to avoid penalties;- Managing VAT and Customs Exemption Certificates for all Sub-Contractors, by controlling the existence of the relevant contracts, full value and duration;- Declare BP shipments; - Advisory on PSAs/HGAs and Customs Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

- Controlling all local litigations proceedings in which the State Committee was involved; - Acting as the principal contact of the State Committee in respect of international arbitrations (LCIA, ICSID etc.);- Coordinating the implementation of number of projects, including the Real Estate Registration Project financed by World Bank Group and the Construction of Haydar Aliyev Centre.
