I worked under the Chief of Staff, Mallory Ward, and assisted in 2012 DNC Convention planning. This included putting together a binder of resources accumulated from previous conventions, creating a planning calendar, gathering information about hotels, attractions, event spaces, and transportation (to/from Charlotte and within).I also attended Intern Brown.

As an intern with the campaign, I worked primarily with the Latino Vote Coordinator, but was available to help others when necessary. I participated in communicating with voters through bilingual phone banks and mailings. I also participated in street visibility promotions, helped in the translation of documents, and was afforded the opportunity to attend.

The IAC is a Solidarity Center which houses various civil rights organizations. I helped with administrative duties, and most importantly attend meetings and events held by the different groups. These meetings give me a first hand experience at the world of organizing.

During my time at the AVP, an organization that provides services for LGBT youth, I worked with the pride committee to represent AVP at LGBT outreach events as well as plan for and participate in New York City's Gay Pride parade.
