As the Strategic Partnerships advisor for the US State Departments' TechWomen program, Anar has helped expand the program to African countries and forges partnerships with host companies in Silicon Valley including Google, Microsoft, Mozilla, Netflix, White House and the World Bank. TechWomen brings emerging women leaders in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) from 21 countries to Silicon Valley where they are matched with professional women in technology companies for a mentorship and exchange program. Anar's work with the UNFPA Innovation Unit has been groundbreaking. The C100 is a group of Canadian executives in Silicon Valley who assist startups from Canada with connections and capital. In addition to designing and implementing the flagship program "48 Hours in the Valley" by partnering with VC firms on Sand Hill Road, Anar established a follow-up process for the visiting firms with valuable connections. She scaled the C-Level Charter Membership with recruiting efforts, designed and implemented a membership database and formulated the vetting process for startups from Canada for mentorship and potential funding as well as referrals and connections for Canadian startups to technology companies based in Silicon Valley.

Anar played a key role in driving real action for improving economic outcomes for women worldwide through her work on the UN High-Level Panel on Women's Economic Empowerment. Her focus on digital inclusion and women's entrepreneurship helped to convene a working group of experts from countries like Costa Rica, India, Tanzania, and the UAE, as well as top technology companies including Facebook, Google, Intel, and Microsoft. Together, this working group was able to collaboratively scope and understand the issue of women's digital inclusion, resulting in concrete outcomes such as the matching of on-the-ground initiatives with countries' stated needs and policy recommendations to track progress along the digital continuum for women in these countries.
