For over four decades, I have been on an enriching career journey, traversing diverse sectors and amassing experience in publishing, culture, politics, media, and communication. Each role I assumed and every challenge I took on has contributed to a comprehensive professional portfolio that I continually build upon.My career began within the publishing industry in 1983, with a role as a sales manager that allowed me to specialize in international reference materials, educational products, and encyclopedias. A significant milestone was becoming a distributor for World Book in Egypt, which inspired me to establish my enterprise in 1987.Leveraging this robust foundation, I ventured into publishing a wide array of multivolume references in Arabic for both the home and school markets in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. As a professional publisher, I had the distinct privilege of collaborating on consequential publishing projects with highly esteemed organizations such as World Book International and other renowned publishers in Italy, the USA, and the UK.From 1995, my professional canvas expanded to include involvement with various non-governmental organizations (NGOs), providing me with opportunities to promote reading and culture, thereby nourishing the societal roots of education and enlightenment.In 2002, I ventured into public service, assuming an array of roles within the Egyptian Government. My public sector journey began as the Undersecretary of Culture and CEO of The Egyptian Public Culture Organization, then evolved to the Minister of Youth and Sports in 2004, and ultimately led to my appointment as Minister of Information in 2005, a position I held with honor until February 2011.I have penned various policy papers on public media and broadcasting, adding another dimension to my professional identity in collaborations with branding agencies, PR, and lobbying firms from the UK and USA.In 2016, I embarked on another exciting chapter by launching Content. Plus, a public relations, communication consultancy, and content development agency. This venture allowed me to refine my skills in PR and communications, TV production, branding, and TV channel revamping.Throughout my multifaceted career, I have had the opportunity to craft speeches professionally, gain experience in ghostwriting, design and implement political and public awareness campaigns, manage crises, and craft media spin & narrative, and spearhead projects for image creation and public figures coaching.
