Give support and training to the field on WatHab quality control.4.Identify appropriate suppliers, prepare and distribute invitations for tender, manage all aspects of bid/proposal evaluations, and make recommendations for finalization of purchases and the awarding of contracts, all in accordance with ICRC standards, regulations.5.Responsible for actively seeking to reduce costs without compromising the quality of goods or services being purchased6.Ensure that quality inspections are conducted for all the required items, both internally and through inspection companies.7.Ensure to periodically carryout supplier evaluations, visits, confirmation of quality production lines, availability of warehousing and stocks.8.Ensure to conduct market surveys to keep abreast of market developments and availability of goods and services, evaluate and recommend potential new sources of supply for inclusion in the procurement database.9.Ensure to liaise with other units within the supply chain securing finances, appropriate import-export procedures, transfer, warehousing and reporting of purchased items.10.Ensure to maintain contacts with the field for technical advice, ensuring the exchange of views in regard to purchasing procedures, standard item selection, quality assurance as well as specifications for new products and equipment in the market.
