I am currently the Operations and Finance Manager at HQ TRSB (ARMY) NZDF. I am part of the planning and performance team that manage and coordinate the planning process within NZDF Finance and the Business Units, ensuring the appropriate KPI and financial reporting frameworks are in place to track performance to plan.I manage demand planning inputs through the NZDF F&OP function and ensure necessary operational prioritisation is coordinated across the Business Units through an integrated planning process. In addition, I manage and co-ordinate the Financial Month End processes for the Regional Cost Centre and hold responsibility for the delivery of reviews of Monthly Financial and Operational performance. I also hold responsibility for the co-ordination of key programmes/Projects; ensuring relevant common methodologies are applied for business areas. The areas of work I currently undertake are:• Leadership, governance and management of the local support team(s) in various units under separate cost centers.• Mentoring of unit/function managers in controlling costs, risk and achieving strong output results.• Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with the external suppliers and unit managers.• Working with operational staff and local procurement officers.• Improving services outputs and ensure the regional centre (RC) achieves targets through operational excellence and leadership.• Actively measuring results and ensuring compliance with operational procedures and the SLA agreement(s).• Providing strategic leadership for the RC.• Delivery of financial management strategy and reporting.• Delivery of IT strategy, development and service delivery.• Development and management of the Department’s assets and resources.• Management of outsourced supply agreements and commercial leadership.
