1. Support the development and implementation of modern integrated IT solutions supporting WFP business needs. 2. Administer databases, ensure proper data back-up, recovery and required maintenance3. Develop, document and support standard and/or customized reports from databases4. Prepare clear technical systems documentation for developed IT solutions in order to facilitate IT systems development and maintenance. 5. Perform unit and integrated testing of new, enhanced or fixed code in order to ensure complete coverage of code and adherence to technical specifications. 6. Participate in the installation, configuration and customization of IT systems, as well as integration and migration of data between systems to ensure compliance with WFP’s and partners’ IT standards, guidelines and procedures. 7. Participate in the release of IT systems and provide early life support in order to prepare for and enable proper use of the IT solution. 8. Contribute to the analysis, maintenance and upgrade of IT systems and troubleshoot, fix problems and make recommendations for system improvements. 9. Contribute to the preparation of trainings on existing and new functionalities for capacity building. 10. Collate data and contribute to the preparation of accurate reports on IT investments and costs, providing information to inform decision-making by stakeholders.

• Developing Information technology solutions to support the Monitoring and Evaluation unit• Implementation and support of Headquarters Monitoring and Evaluation corporate tools• Support the information management of the Food security cluster and the implementation of the Information management tools (IM Tools)• Support the initiating of the standard project report and implementing the corporate reporting information management tools.• Follow-up on collection, storage, distribution, integration and application of information and knowledge in the programme unit.• Coordinate software development and integration with existing database systems including the food distribution and monitoring databases• Develop and maintain the monitoring and evaluation database that is a repository of both the output and outcome datasets.• Translate data requirement into information management applications and procedures and/or recommend enhancements in the functionality of existing procedures and systems;• Coordinate the use of WFP official information databases and other resources, and coordinate the deployment of information.• Monitor and keep up-to-dated with technological changes relevant to WFP activities in Syria• Oversee user support and all aspects of problem management to ensure timely delivery of services at CO and SOs.• develop and maintain tools for capturing the monitoring and evaluation datasets from the field.• Prepare datasets for analysis, including formatting various datasets that can be reported for analysis in WFP corporate software (SPSS, ArcGIS).• Support reconciliation of food dispatched, receipts and distribution points and the distribution reports from the cooperating partners.• Provide training to databases users at the Country offices and focal points in the sub offices on use of databases.
