At my current job placement at this coated abrasives company, I am responsible for the quality tests on a working environment, of all products (abrasive discs and sheets, flap discs and cutting discs of various types) in order to evaluate and hence assist the production department by pinpointing issues and suggesting solutions to overcome them, as well to constantly improve the products. During testing, various technical components are being used according to international quality standards, and the test results are being tabulated in various databases to enable the evaluation process.Additionally my responsibilities include the company's customer portfolio technical assistance and support, as well as collaborating with the sales department, including visits to the customer’s premises abroad, visits to international fairs etc.

During my placement at this company, my main responsibilities included the planning and supervising of the production process of granite and synthetic kitchen sinks. The company is considered one of the market leaders in this field of appliances. In detail, this process includes the creation of polyester –fiberglass molds of various shapes and designs, the casting process with the use of specialized casting equipment for either granite or synthetic mixtures to form the sink itself, to the finishing stages that include machine grinding with CNC part programing, heat cycle curing, and finally packaging. The workforce I was supervising consisted of 53 technicians of various skills and backgrounds. My responsibilities also included monitoring warehouse, raw materials and spare parts inventories, as well as the maintenance planning and undertaking, of all production and supporting equipment of the production section.

During my three year tenure at this company my main responsibilities included the managing and supervising of the production of lead acid cell components which are used either to produce battery cells or assembled industrial type batteries. These components include lead oxides and red lead, lead casted grids, which are used to form positive and negative plates of various types for various industrial battery types. Under my supervision I managed a team of 100 employees and technicians working on various production lines. My responsibilities also included the supervision of the various production processes to insure that all predetermined procedures as specified by the equipment manufacturer, are being followed. The proper application of these procedures also ensure the quality of the finished product as specified by the Quality Control department. I was also responsible to create and issue the production schedule in accordance to the needs specified by the Sales department. The production orders where issued through the SAP ERP Business Suite Software and through these the needs for raw materials were being calculated.Finally, with the cooperation of the Maintenance department, I was responsible to create and follow a specific maintenance schedule for all the equipment under my supervision in accordance to the equipment manufacturer instructions. All work is being carried out by the Maintenance department personnel under my co-supervision.

I have a 4 years work experience as a mechanical engineer in Thrace Plastics Co.S.A. at the position of maintenance supervisor of production equipment. The company is one of the leading industries worldwide in plastic textile fabrics for various applications in construction or agriculture. During my appointment at this position I managed 20 technicians for the maintenance and inspection of various production equipment such as tape extrusion lines, beamers, projectile and circular looms, and polypropylene recycling lines. I was also in charge of management of spare parts suppliers, purchasing and distributing to various stages of production as well as evaluating the parts in terms of quality and confirming parts purchases for the maintenance and production needs.
