The main construction of the Porto Elounda hotel began in 1989, followed by 13 subsequent additions to the original building, with all the negatives this entails (non-existent fire protection, arbitrary constructions, incorrect layout and wrong mixed uses, conflict of uses, diversion by standards and regulations, etc.).The total area of the land is 90,000 m2. For this key district, LREDC is both the master developer and plot developer. The Commercial Boulevard District comprises of a Central Boulevard with prestigious mixed-use development of retail, gallery, hospitality, offices, and residences.
