The main construction of the Porto Elounda hotel began in 1989, followed by 13 subsequent additions to the original building, with all the negatives this entails (non-existent fire protection, arbitrary constructions, incorrect layout and wrong mixed uses, conflict of uses, diversion by standards and regulations, etc.).The total area of the land is 90,000 m2. The total number of keys in the main hotel is 152, with approximately 26,000 m2 of above ground surface area, plus private swimming pools; and two outdoor public pools located on the 3rd floor and flanking both sides of the restaurant.

For this key district, LREDC is both the master developer and plot developer. The Commercial Boulevard District comprises of a Central Boulevard with prestigious mixed-use development of retail, gallery, hospitality, offices, and residences.
