My name is Ana Swasey, I graduated from Curry College located in Milton, Massachusetts where I majored in psychology and minored in social work. Currently, I am obtaining a masters degree in counseling psychology at Northeastern University. I am passionate about working in the field of mental health. I currently work at Walden Behavioral Care in Dedham, Massachusetts as a mental health counselor on the residential unit. At Walden, I work with adolescents and adults that have an eating disorder and mental health challenges. As a mental health counselor, I work to provide a safe and therapeutic environment by monitoring residents safety, nutritional intake and redirecting behaviors. I also conduct daily notes and communicate with treatment teams to ensure that each resident is receiving the highest quality of care, facilitate group sessions and conduct daily weights and vitals.
