I serve as an assistant professor at the department of Performing and Digital Arts - University of Peloponnese, teaching Human-Computer Interaction, Programming, Virtual Reality and Game Design-Development and Character Animation. I am also a scientific associate-researcher in the field of games and immersive technologies at the HCI-VR LAB. My doctoral research delved into alternative teaching methods and digital games as tools for programming education. During my postdoctoral research, I further specialized in developing personalized systems for games aimed at enhancing the teaching of programming skills. I have extensive experience in teaching within the Computer Science domain (since 2006), in a wide variety of courses, to students aged from 6 years old to mature adults and in multicultural settings. In the realm of game design within school settings, I have garnered honors from both international and national competitions.My research focuses on Game studies, Player Experience, Character animation, Game Education, Immersive Technologies, and Human-Machine Interaction. I have co-authored several manuscripts published in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, and I serve as reviewer and editor on highly recognized journals. In addition, I am an active member of the ACM, SIGCHI, SIGGRAPH, SIGCSE and IGDA organizations. Lately, I have been involved in projects that combine interactive/immersive gaming technologies with arts and culture.
