The Global Health Delivery Leadership Program brings together public health leaders and technical experts from ministries of health, non-governmental organizations, and civil society organizations. In collaboration with the exceptional leadership and teams at UGHE’s Center for Leadership in Global Health Equity: • Oversee the comprehensive development, adaptation, and delivery of the program, including finalizing and updating syllabi, and supporting faculty in content adaptation.• Ensure quality assurance through thorough reviews of course materials and the design of essential templates.• Facilitate key sessions on monitoring and evaluation, and strategic problem-solving.• Manage overall program execution, ensuring continuous improvement and effective delivery.• Coordinate and lead preparatory faculty meetings, identify and manage coaches, and orient external evaluators.

• Direct the Global Health Delivery Leadership, a program developed in collaboration with the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria, targeting emerging leaders and technical experts from Ministries of Health, Non-governmental and Civil Society Organizations.• Develop and update the content to meet the needs of the leaders attending the program. • Coordinate the faculty and guest speakers and ensure effective content delivery and evaluation.• Teach core courses, including advanced monitoring and evaluation, strategic problem solving, and quality improvement, to officials from the Global Fund-funded countries, including Rwanda, Mozambique, Liberia, Angola, Mauritius, South Sudan, Malawi, Ivory Coast, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

• Established a multi-country QI Implementation through coaching and community of practice.• Disseminated PIH’s quality improvement work through peer-reviewed manuscripts/abstracts and engagement in external working groups.• Adapted the existing World Health Organization’s patient safety and quality improvement toolkit to address care delivery and systems gaps in Haiti, Lesotho, and Liberia.• Established and managed the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Exchange Series involving all PIH-supported countries and other experts in improvement science.

• Led the implementation and coordination of the MESH-QI program in close collaboration with the Ministry of Health and local and international partners• Designed quality measurement metrics for and served as Principal Investigator of the MESH-QI-related research projects. • Established strategic implementation plan for mentoring and quality improvement across core clinical domains, including HIV and TB, Women’s Health, and Integrated Management of Childhood/Adult Illness (IMCI and IMAI).• Trained trainers from Kirehe, Rwinkwavu, and Butaro District Hospitals in Clinical Mentorship and Quality Improvement. • Supervised the team of clinical mentors, conducting day-to-day mentorship visits at 45 health facilities and clinics. • Co-designed “All Babies Count,” an improvement collaborative for neonatal mortality reduction in rural Rwanda. • Ensured the appropriate use of the budget and timely reporting on specific health systems strengthening grants.

• Led training model in Rwanda and throughout East-Central Africa Region. • Developed the manual and delivered trainings of trainers for community health and clinical program leaders. • Supported the adaptation and pilot-testing of the HIV curriculum for community health workers. • Provided technical assistance to other PIH project sites in terms adult learning techniques. • Ensured technical support in curriculum development to Rwanda and Boston-based training and curriculum specialists• Developed training M&E dashboard and assessed the impact of PIH training projects. • Organized academic presentations using case studies/scenarios, simulations, and other adult learning techniques.

• Led and supervised the expansion of PIH’s community health program (HIV accompaniment model) in Butaro. • Collaborated with the district leadership teams to develop and implement a district-wide capacity-building program. • Developed and facilitated task-shifting of HIV care from physicians to nurses across Butaro hospital catchment area. • Developed tools and systems to support decentralizing HIV patients from district hospitals and other established health facilities to new health facilities in the Northern province (Burera) and Eastern province (Kirehe).

• Provided direct care and supervised the clinical team to ensure effective case management, follow-up, and retention. • Liaised with physician specialists to ensure an ongoing assessment of patients’ symptoms and response to treatment and make appropriate changes to treatment plans as necessary.• Coordinated active case finding and community/home-based Directly Observed Therapy for HIV and TB. • Initiated and facilitated individual and group counseling sessions for children infected or affected with HIV (adolescent adult patients enrolled in the program). • Supported the design and implementation of the national HIV counseling program for children living with HIV/AIDS.
