Chapter (Development) Lead at DEGIRO

Group lead of one of our crucial departments in the company, working on our Betting and Settlement micro services solutions. Managing and guiding teams developing a complex multi-tier product, involving a fully distributed and scalable server-side solutions ,utilizing technologies like Aerospike, Mongo DB, Kafka and more, using the most modern tool-set to deliver high quality products.

Main roles and responsibilities:▪ Rewriting core features using a microservices ▪ Refactoring settlement microservices using actors model (Microsoft.Orleans) for better performance▪ Improving log management and monitoring using Kibana and Graphana software▪ Automating deployment process using Jenkins jobs▪ Automating building nuget packages for core libraries shared between the different applications in the betting software▪ Ensuring the code is clean and reliable with unit and integration tests

I was a lead developer of the Andromeda 5 project. I participated and led the development of both the front-end and back-end. I was in charge of delivering the new versions of the project to the market on time and with high quality.Main roles and responsibilities:▪Work with the Game Producer to gather high-level requirements and use cases for the features▪Detail the requirements, analyse them and define how the features will be implemented within the game ▪Accommodate and adapt the requirements if necessary to better suit the development and the productcapabilities (without compromising the end goal)▪Fill in the gaps with appropriate suggestions and discuss with the team▪Make sure the new functionalities will integrate well with the existing ones or suggest redesign andreward current functionality▪Designed and lead the implementation of medium to large features within the project ▪Involve in whole process of design, development and testing

As Junior Developer and part of the Andromeda 5 team I was responsible for the client side of the product. I implemented most of the features on the front-end and some of the features on the back-end. I also prepared the data import query and helped the QA team to test complex use cases.Main roles and responsibilities:▪Detail and analyse requirements▪Implement the some server features▪Implement client side features▪Designed and implement custom GUI system to meet all game needs▪Designed and implement run time Quest System (event based)▪Implement Entirely In Memory based game logic with asynchronous DB updates for save changes

When I started in the company I joined the new R&D team which had the task to research and select the best solutions for an entirely new product of the company and the market - free-to-play massive multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG).
