I am a psychologist and educator working with cultural diversity, social inclusion, activism and group identities- especially in the context of ethnic relations, global citizenship and sustainability. I have over 20 years-experience in research and practical work with migrant and ethnic groups, vulnerable communities, international students, discrimination and social inclusion, in various settings across Europe and beyond. My expertise is in fighting discrimination and prejudice to promote inclusion and positive social change, and in intercultural competence training.I have over 15 years experience in internationalization of higher education (universities) in various roles, at Utrecht University, the Netherlands, and at the University of Limerick, Ireland. As vice-dean international for 7 years I grew passionate about diversifying the classroom, widening participation and decolonizing psychology and international education. I am fascinated by growth, connectivity and human potential. As a researcher, I have been active in several international associations: International Society for Political Psychology, European Association of Social Psychology, International Association of Cross-Cultural Psychology.As an educator, I have been involved with Erasmus Programs for the past 20 years and more recently with the European Universities Association, and the EUIs.I have been involved and developed new international networks within the Erasmus Mundus Masters in Global-MINDS.eu: The Psychology of Global Mobility, Inclusion and Diversity in Society (Global-MINDS.eu), including the LaEUMiDI network (https://www.sanctuarypsych.org/laeumidi/), and the Sanctuary with Psychology outreach project (https://www.sanctuarypsych.org/).
