Developed an economic model to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of agrivoltaic systems, contributing to the feasibility and planning of renewable energy projects. Conducted land prospecting for solar and wind farms across Ontario, identifying optimal sites for development. Created and implemented community engagement plans to foster local support and address stakeholder concerns. Performed competitive project tracking and analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and inform strategic decisions.

Designed large-scale solar farm RFP layouts using AutoCAD, optimizing the configuration of photovoltaic arrays and supporting infrastructure for clients across Canada, the USA, and Australia. Conducted detailed electrical engineering calculations in Excel to assess power losses, cabling requirements, and combiner box quantities, presenting the findings through electrical single-line diagrams in Civil 3D. Lead the design of an electrical house for a solar site in Alberta, and presented the project’s design process, challenges, and lessons learned at the Annual PCL Solar Energy Engineering Summit.

Learned hydraulic modelling and spatial data analysis to complete municipal infrastructure projects. Utilized InfoWater Pro, PCSWMM, Excel, and QGIS to calibrate and update municipal water and wastewater models with new infrastructure, demand sets, diurnal patterns, and facility controls. Key projects included assessing a potential water main abandonment for Niagara Falls and contributing to Niagara Region’s Master Servicing Plan to support growth through 2051.

Developed Hamilton’s first interactive municipal well monitoring dashboard using Power BI and SQL, enabling real-time tracking of well levels and performance. Configured over 50 geospatial displays with ArcGIS Pro to update the Water Resource Interface with new infrastructure data. Engaged in fieldwork including well inspections, data collection with ArcGIS Collector, and infrastructure site visits in collaboration with Hamilton Conservation Authority.

Supported research on the risks of eutrophication and future water quality under the guidance of Dr. Mahyar Shafii Hassanabadi by conducting an in-depth research analyses to quanitfy phosphorus and TSS import into urban systems, and using ArcGIS to correlate imports with urban physiographic and climatic conditions. Also performed rigorous data quality assessments for over 100 field samples to be used for modelling, honing skills in Excel.

Streamlined the migration of University of Waterloo Engineering faculty data into an online system, utilizing advanced Excel functions and pivot tables for efficient data management. Organized and updated faculty documents to maintain accurate profiles. Worked closely with team members to identify and correct data entry errors, enhancing overall accuracy and data integrity.
