Task Force Operations (20th Engineer Brigade) Senior LNO to Joint Task Force Civil Support. Joint Task Force Civil Support anticipates, plans, and prepares for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense Support of Civil Authorities (CBRN-DSCA) response operations. When directed, JTF-CS deploys within 24 hours of notification to command and control DOD forces in support of civil authority response operations in order to save lives, prevent further injury, and provide temporary critical support to enable community recovery. JTF-CS is the nations’ only standing CBRN joint task force. It is comprised of active and reserve component service members from the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines. The headquarters also includes Department of the Air Force civilians and contract personnel. JTF-CS accomplishes response operations in strict adherence with the Constitution and public law. When directed on the authority of the President, through the Secretary of Defense, USNORTHCOM provides defense support of civil authorities when requested by local, state, tribal and federal officials.

Led a team of 16 joint engineers and logisticians in enabling multi-billion dollar base closures, transfers, and recovery, retrograde, disposal of excess material and equipment throughout the Combined-Joint Operations Area. Led a team of six interagency personnel in the execution of an Iraqi reconstruction program valued at $30 million in projects. Conducted intergovernmental coordination and engagement with senior military commanders, U.S. Department of State representatives, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and Iraqi Provincial Government officials in completing existing engineer projects, determining feasibility of new projects, designating new work, planning, and the development of Iraqi master planning. Senior Maintenance Manager in a Combat-Heavy (Construction Effects) forward deployed engineer battalion assigned to the U. S. Army Pacific Command which contained over 300 reportable and 250 non-reportable major items of equipment valued in excess of $28 million. Led a team of 40 maintenance professionals and was the principle maintenance advisor to the Commander. Responsible for the overall staff coordination and supervision of all maintenance programs. Ensured that maintenance procedures of unit Motor Pools and the Direct Support Maintenance Section conform to regulations and directives. Assisted Motor Pools and the Direct Support Maintenance shops with technical support and monitored maintenance operations. Provided technical assistance to the Commander and staff on maintenance operations and made recommendations concerning the entire maintenance program. Served as Environmental Compliance Officer and Motor Pool Safety Officer.
