Production Engineer

In this second phase within the company, my focus shifted towards implementing improvements in production times within the elevator door manufacturing area. In the initial phase, I immersed myself in the elevator door assembly process, followed by a detailed analysis of material handling stations and their interconnecting flows. Subsequently, I conducted microtiming assessments at each station, calculating the production times for each component. This information was graphically represented to identify areas for improvement.Upon completion of the production time study, it was determined where the specific improvements were needed. My Bachelor's thesis focused on designing a prototype to improve production time, which was in the welding area. During this project, I developed a prototype for a welding station that automatically adjusts to various elevator door sizes, optimizing production efficiency. I carefully selected mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation (PLC) components to automate the station. The entire system was modeled in 3D CAD using SolidWorks. Finally, I conducted a cost analysis to assess the project's feasibility.
