Supported units in the field with using tank schematics and DSESTS to troubleshoot the Embedded Diagnostics system as well as the tank system to maintain effectiveness of the Abrams Tank System. Provided instruction and training to Soldiers and Marines with proper installation and theory of operation of the Embedded Diagnostics system on the M1A1 Abrams Situational Awareness (SA) and Fire Enhancement Package (FEP) Platforms. Familiar with the theory and operation of the Second Generation Thermal Receiver Unit Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) functionality and platforms BLOCK-0 and BLOCK-1. Able to utilize the Field Problem Report (FPR) data base to report any software issues in the field. Utilized the Return Material Authorization (RMA) process for any hardware defects in the field and in plant. Performed software updates at multiple locations with Software Loader Verifier (SL/V). Reported a weekly status of the tank units that were supported to the TACOM representative on site. Performed Go-chain testing and Fault insertion testing using a Fault Insertion System (FITS) box and tank schematics. Familiar with DESETS, TPS updates and troubleshooting circuit cards for the various Functions Modules (FM). Possess solder certification J-STD-001 with the skills to solder small wires, resistors (through-hole and surface mount), capacitors and intergraded circuits.
