As Board President of The Coding Initiative, I lead the organization in its mission to make technology education accessible to all. I oversee board meetings, help shape our long-term vision, and represent the organization to partners and the public. As the Director of Information Technology at The Coding Initiative, I handle the day-to-day management of our technical infrastructure to ensure our team stays productive and secure. Since takin on this role in February 2024, I’ve been responsible for setting up and managing platforms like Google Workspace, Microsoft Office 365, Okta, and Jira—supporting our staff and students of 50+ users.I focus on user provisioning, secure Single Sign-On (SSO), and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to protect our data and ensure smooth operations. My role includes:• Administering Google Workspace and Microsoft Office 365 with dual delivery, supporting over 60 accounts for email, calendar, and collaboration.• Managing identity access for all users via Okta, automating user provisioning for new team members, and ensuring SSO is secure across over 10 integrated applications.• Configuring and maintaining Jira for project tracking and issue management, streamlining team workflows and helping teams resolve support tickets.• Implementing SSO and MFA, reducing security risks and protecting sensitive information.• Providing IT support and troubleshooting for our fully remote team, handling an average of 20 requests per week.• Continuously improving our IT operations, which has increased team productivity by 30% and reduced downtime by 15%.My focus is to ensure that every tool we use operates efficiently and securely, allowing our nonprofit to focus on its mission without interruptions or security concerns.
