Progressive web development. Builds web applications for businesses that need to help in data collection, business automation, and user engagement. Aesthetic feel and design of applications, aim for simple, effective communication between the business, and it's audience.

Worked part time installing driveways across the greater Whidbey Island area. Much of thejob includes operating small work bots, raking/smoothing out gravel, and politely conversingwith customers. Stayed busy during the pandemic, also gave me spare time to work on programming projects. Constantly pushing to be a bigger asset to the company even though I didn’t plan on staying.

Helped grade participation, quizzes, and exams for a lower level computer science class. Used grading tools such as Gradle and other Java written test cases to speed up grading workflow. Worked roughly 10 hours a week grading for 40 students, developed streamlining strategies to reduce mundane labor. Worked one on one with professor to hash out grading process. Gained insight in software testing and running code against multiple test cases.

Worked at a conveyer belt sushi restaurant making side dishes such as egg rolls, potstickers, and sesame balls. Needed to keep up with customer orders as well as make food to stalk the conveyer belt. Established good communication practices within the workplace creating better work flow. Learned how to be adaptable in the workplace. Responsibilities changed depending on how many customers there were, and how much time was left in the day.

Worked as a deckhand for a commercial seiner during the summer after school got out. Fishing days started at 6am, and lasted til 8pm or later. Needed to function under high stress situations to avoid loss of fish and break downs. Not only was this job physically challenging, but also emotionally testing as it involved living on a boat for over 2 months away from friends and family.
